For those who want to combine the relax of sea life with the culture, the b & b is located a short distance from the most beautiful and famous cities of the Val di Noto: Ragusa Ibla (30 km), Modica (25 km), Scicli (12 km) , Noto (70 km): you can also visit the places where the TV series of the Inspector MONTALBANO is producted (Punta Secca, Donnalucata, Scicli, Marina di Ragusa, Modica, Ragusa Ibla and many other places): the Donnafugata Castle, the Kamarina and Kaucana archaeological excavations complete the culture of the area. Also the typical local cuisine of Ragusa offers ample choices including some typical Sicilian sweets (ricotta cannoli, almond pastries, 'mpanatigghi modicani, cassate, Modica chocolate, carob sweets); furthermore, tyou can also taste the typical dairy products of the Ragusa area such as provole, cacio cavallo, fresh and seasoned ricotta and mozzarella, over a wide selection of products made with local buffalo milk; finally, you cannot help but taste the Sicilian granitas and cremolas, the Ragusa "scacce", the arancini, the cavati with pork sauce and the "breaded" lamb or cuttlefish.

The seaview from all the rooms, the distance from the busy streets and the garden surrounding the structure, make your stay even more pleasant.
The south-eastern part of Sicily (Val di Noto) includes the Syracuse and Ragusa provinces and represents one of the most popular destinations for the lovers of the Baroque: obligatory destinations are Ragusa, Modica, Scicli and Noto. Also the Donnafugata Castle is very peculiar and if you wish to travel a few more kilometers, Caltagirone town, famous for its ceramics and the gorgeous Villa del Casale in Piazza Armerina, is absolutely worth visiting. For nature lovers, a few steps from the b & b is the Irminio natural reserve and a short distance away is the Pantalica reserve, the famous Avola lakes and the Vendicari nature reserve.
There are countless culinary specialties you can taste in our area: arancini ( "arancine" are called only in the sicily western area), Ragusa scacce, cow and pecorino cheeses (cacio cavallo, provola and pepato), ricotta, macco, cavati with pork sauce, are just some of our "savory" specialties; for desserts you really are spoiled for choice: from Sicilian cannoli with ricotta, to almond cakes, pistachio and carob, cassata with ricotta, martorana fruit, Modica chocolate and modican impanatigghi, finishing with ice cream and the delicious granitas to be obligatorily tasted with the fresh-baked hot croissants !!!
